HOW MUCH DOES AN INVITATION SUITE COST?
Due to the endless possibilities available, all pricing is custom quoted based on what you need and want. There are a number of factors to include such as quantity, material choices and print method. For details about pricing or to receive a quote, please contact me today.

WHEN SHOULD I ORDER MY INVITATIONS?
Wedding Invitations should be ordered 4-6 months before your wedding. You should plan on mailing your invitations 6-8 weeks in advance, earlier if you have not sent Save the Dates, are having a destination wedding, or if your wedding is during a busy season. Request a reply date 3-4 weeks prior to your wedding to allow additional time to create place cards or a seating chart.  The custom design process takes a minimum of 4 weeks and avant-garde design needs 2-3 weeks for printing and then mailing you the final product. Keep in mind, the more time you allot for invitations the more time we have to design and assemble the most perfect invitation suite for you!

Save the Dates: Send 5-6 months in advance.  Order 4-6 weeks before you want to mail. For destination weddings or weddings during a busy season they should be sent 8-10 months in advance. This allows your guests to make their travel arrangements.

Wedding Day Paper: Programs, Menus, Escort Cards, Table Numbers, Favor Tags, and More...
Order these items about 4-5 weeks before your wedding, or as soon as possible once you have all your information finalized. Some pieces may take longer than others depending on amounts of information, quantities and customization.
*Etiquette Tip: Thank you cards should be sent within 6 weeks following your wedding day.

The timelines listed above are approximations only. Orders can take more or less time depending on the season and the amount of orders coming in. Please call or email if you need a rush order.

IS THERE A RULE OF THUMB TO FOLLOW WHEN CHOOSING QUANTITIES?
When it comes to ordering, we recommend ordering extras to accommodate last minute guest additions, incorrect addressing and keepsakes. Ordering an additional small quantity is much less expensive than re-ordering later. Also remember, your quantity should reflect the amount of families and couples attending your event, not the number of actual people attending. Keep in mind that calligraphers (and you) will need additional envelopes (approximately 10%) for possible mistakes when addressing invitations.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY ORDER?
If you decide to cancel your order before final proof approval, you forfeit your 50% initial deposit. If you cancel your order after your final proof is approved, we retain the right to keep the full amount paid. If any errors are discovered after final approval and we have gone to print, it will be necessary to charge you for a reprint (if requested).

Important Items

Sales Tax
Sales tax is charged for all orders in Connecticut. The rate is 6.35%. If your order is shipped out of state you will not be charged tax.

Shipping
If pick-up or delivery is not an option for you; you can have your order shipped via FedEx or USPS. Insuring your shipment for its full value is highly recommended.

Payment Schedule
Once you place your order, a deposit of 50% is due. After reviewing and approving your proofs, the balance of your order will be invoiced so work can begin. You may pay by check. Shipping charges must be paid in full before your order can be sent. Due to timing, most Wedding Day Paper orders require payment in full.

Proofreading: Once is never enough!
Remember to proofread every detail of your order. Print out your proofs and have several pairs of eyes look over them paying attention to wording, spelling, names, dates, etc. AvantGarde Design is not responsible for these types of errors. Your text is printed exactly as shown on your proof. Unfortunately, if you do find an error in your printed order, AvantGarde Design cannot offer a refund and will have to charge the full price for reprinting. When you approve your proof, you are approving it exactly as shown - keeping in mind color varies from screen to print.
